As a Plant Maintenance Supervisor, you are responsible for the activities and operations relating to the Water Treatment Plant.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience
  • Minimum of three years of experience in the operation and maintenance of water treatment facility
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality Level I Distribution Systems Operator Certificate preferred. 
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality Level IV Operator Certificate within the first year of employment. 

 

City of Torrington

Wastewater/Water Operator or Trainee - Posted 04-04-24

The City of Torrington is accepting applications for a Wastewater/Water Operator or Trainee. Primary duties will include the operation of a sanitary sewer lift station and/or headworks facility, an aerated 3-cell wastewater plant, sewer collection line maintenance, and sampling. Other duties will include, but are not limited to, the operation of the R.O. Water Plant, performing routine maintenance, data collection and entry, and repairing distribution and collection lines in all types of weather conditions. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a CDL Class B driver’s license, or the ability to obtain and ability to operate heavy equipment. Level II Water and Level I Wastewater certifications are desired, but willing to train. Employee will be required to go on-call after appropriate certifications and experience are met.
