Distribution Tools and Practices - No Fee

Don Van Veld Huizen from USA Bluebook is back by popular demand.  He will be teaching us what tools are available to help us do our job.  Knowing what equipment is available is half the battle, but we will also discuss how to use the equipment and trade secrets that will ensure you can do your job proficiently.  Mainline flushing, locating, leak detection and numerous other areas will be discussed. 

This is a two day class.  You must attend both days to receive 14 ceu's.



Wastewater Technologies - No Fee

Don Van Veldhuizen from USA Bluebook will teach us the basics and then some for operation and maintenance of lagoon systems. We will discuss the warning signs of changes in treatment and overcoming the difficulties in dealing with the limited control. Also discussed is activated sludge and why it is used so extensively. Learn about the process and why it is such an effective way to quickly treat large quantities of raw wastes. We will also discuss means of control both physical and biological.

We will discuss dimensional analysis, geometry, algebra, temperature conversions, detention time, weir overflow rates, filtration rate, backwash rates, density & specific gravity, force & pressure, chlorination, efficiency and horsepower, unit process efficiency, energy consumption, and velocity & flow.    This class is open for all licenses and certification levels.
