KEMMERER -- Memorial mass for Barry Edward Mootz, 58, was celebrated Thursday, Oct. 12, at 10 a.m.
at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Kemmerer. He died Oct. 8, 2006. He lived in the Kemmerer area for 28
years. He was born Oct. 19, 1948, in Roscoe, N.Y. On Sept. 29, 1973, he married Sharon A. Bury in
Roscoe. He was the operations manager for the Joint Powers Board in Kemmerer. A member of
St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, he served on its Parish Council. He also belonged to the Knights of
Columbus. He was involved with Little League baseball for several years, coaching, umpiring and
serving as a board member. He eventually became involved with Babe Ruth as well. He was a member
of the Lions Club and an avid reader, and he loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Sharon of Kemmerer; a son, Loren Mootz and his wife of Riverton; a
daughter, Erin Trojanowski and her husband of Rapid City, S.D.; four siblings, Terry Rode and his wife,
Randy Rode, Lori Rode and Janet Rode, all of New York; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in
death by his mother. In lieu of flowers, a memorial scholarship fund has been established at First Bank,
716 Pine Ave., Kemmerer, WY 83101. |
